Title: The "Men Erotically Caressing on the Hood of a Car" Multifandom Mix and Match Kit

Prompt: "Shep/Ray Kowalski making out, or sharing a pizza, or hanging out on the hood of the GTO."
Medium: Drawings, cut out and rearranged. Who needs Photoshop layers? Not Zelempa!
Pairing(s): John Sheppard (SGA)/Ray Kowalski (Due South); various BSOs
Notes: The beauty of this project is that it can be infinitely expanded (for fannish cheesecake-calendar-making purposes or what have you), but I think this is a solid starter kit.

I'm very impressed that you did all this in in tradition media, too! I like Ray the best (love his pose - so typically Ray), but I think Fraser/Rodney just broke my brain a little in a good way. (John/Ray has been there since the prompt list)

This is too great. I like how you did everyone in a way that gave them all very distinct poses, yet still sort of mix-and-matchable. Really creative.

On a side note, I'm slightly miffed that there was no Ray/Rodney. That would've just been all kinds of awesome. (Not that this still isn't awesome or anything. 2904ywpeho3sL)

The problem is that Ray and Rodney are pointing the same direction (I had to make them both face John, as John/Ray and John/Rodney were of paramount importance). So it's not completely mix-and-matchable, as there are right-facing guys and left-facing guys.

Oh no, have I created a new arbitrary system of gender? Pairs of two right-facing or left-facing guys are going to figure out how to kiss the backs of each other's heads or something. They will have to fight for their unexpected and societally-frowned-upon yet purest love!

Or I could just draw on the backs of the cards.

"Multifandom Mix and Match Kit" needs to either become trademarked, or become it's own fan art genre. That idea is fucking brilliant, and your illustrations are the perfect style for it.

I kind of love how this is, like, an OTP car-makeout paperdoll set. Mix-n-match! Also, I really love the Experimental Hair Club for Men. John and Ray could go to the stylist together and egg each other on to greater and greater experimental hair heights.

Hee hee. I maybe should have made little outfits for them? Little gun holsters for various areas? On the other hand, once could think of the car as the undressed doll, and you dress it up with various amorous BSOs.

Ray and John at the stylist would have been great. Better yet they could do each other's hair. (It's a trust thing.)

Yeah, it probably would have been easier in photoshop but, you know, I'm a Luddite. And there's something sort of pleasingly challenging about trying to make the right cuts so that the guys hang together as cohesive units, together or apart.

(Hey, that's kind of romantic, maybe. Replace "cuts" with "compromises", maybe? I don't know. If it's relevant I also used tape.)

I don't think I have the patience to do traditional paperdolls for the boys (although it occurs to me that I once did one for Illya Kuriyaken, but I digress), so come on, Sci Fi, you are missing out on a seriously needed tie-in product. You have a large female fan base; it's time to stop relying on traditional sci-fi merchandising alone and take a page from Strawberry Shortcake's book!
